| 内容記述 | 不登校, 学級崩壊, 少年犯罪の低年齢化などの社会問題が年々深刻化し, 今や子どもたちの心の健康を守ることは国家的な関心事となっている。本稿では, 学校教育現場で児童・生徒の心の問題に対してこれまでどのような対策がとられてきたのか, その背景と現状を概観し, 閉鎖的であったとされる学校教育現場に専門家としてスクールカウンセラーが派遣されたことによって浮き彫りにされた「教師」と「カウンセラー」の専門性の相違を「カウンセリング・マインド」という言葉を軸として考察する。最後に心理学の理論を応用した健康教育を紹介し, 両者の専門性を生かして行うことができる予防的教育を提案する。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | The psychological health of children has now become a subject of national concern, with the documented increase in severe social problems such as "school refusal, " "class disruption" ,and juvenile crime. This paper begins by reviewing past and present measures taken by schools to address the psychological/emotional problems of children. It then attempts to examine and clarify the role and expertise of teacher versus counselor, focusing on the keyword "counseling mind", a phrase used in Japan meaning "understanding and acceptance". Lastly, it introduces some recent psychologically-based health education programs and proposes ways in which both teachers and counselors can work together to contribute to improving the psychological health of children. | |||||||||
