| 値 | Of the 54 volumes of the Tale of Genji, Kashiwagi mostly appears from the volume of the first “Wakana” of the second “Wakana” volume, in the “Kashiwagi” volume. Kashiwagi lives a life of agony caused by The Third Imperial Princess. In this paper, I will clarify how skillfully Murasaki-Shikibu portrays the character of Kashiwagi as well as the historical waka poet Michinobu Fujiwara’s depiction of this character. |
