This paper reports the results of the questionnaire and half-structured interviews given to kindergarten-teacher trainees after their preservice training. The assumption we are based on is that the trainees make use of a certain type of strategy to survive their training period. The results show that a large number of trainees with a successfully-developed \"kindergarten-teacher identity\" have found receptive teacher models for them and copied their behavior flexibly and selectively.
