The main findings were as follows; (1) Pre-teaching practice phase indicated that children were viewed as ’cute’ and ’energetic', teachers as being 'mother-like’ and possessing 'nursing qualities’ reflecting surface, idealistic images. (2) Post-training views focused on children’s 'individuality’ and ’capability', nursery teachers on specialized characteristics, showing an increase in specific as well as multifaceted views.
